Next week, Aeroplane Heaven will be releasing its Cessna 140 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This will be the company’s first release for the simulator and will include a number of versions of the iconic plane for a choice of flying experiences for the simmer.
The Cessna 140 first flew in 1945 and paved the way for the continued growth of future Cessna aircraft of similar type. The Cessna 140 has a larger engine than its older brother, the Cessna 120, and had revised landing gear in relation to pilot feedback. As a result, the Cessna 140 was hailed as a relatively easy to fly aircraft with a decent range (at the time) and cruise speed.
The team has promised that each of the three variations of the aircraft will include a dedicated flight model that has been designed specifically for the new simulator. Aeroplane Heaven says that they have a particular focus on the tail-dragger ground handling aspects along with the high-wing flight dynamics. Across the whole fleet, there will be a large choice of cockpit styles and 8 liveries to choose from. All of the modelling has been completed to a high standard and the aircraft will also come with night lighting effects and a high-quality sound package.
For pilots who need a modern avionics suite, the team has included the G1000 as an option.
Aeroplane Heaven has confirmed that the Cessna 140 for Microsoft Flight Simulator will release on July 5th 2021. We’ll inform you when the product has been released.
