Aeroplane Heaven has posted on their Facebook page an extended set of preview shots of their upcoming Rockwell Sabreliner. The aircraft is scheduled for Prepar3D V4.5 and V5 only. Aeroplane Heaven will be developing the stretched Sabreliner 60 and 65 as well as the T-39 military variant. The aircraft will feature PBR modeling, HD textures, detailed cabin and cockpit modeling. As per Aeroplane Heaven, the cockpit will most likely feature compatibility with the Flight1 and RealityXP GTN750 gauge, but cockpit integration is still in progress. The development shots also show a weather radar that is possibly the REX/Milviz unit. These previews display the aircraft in game for the first time.
The North American Sabreliner was a successfull early business jet, which was then offered to the US Air Force as a Utility trainer under the appelation of T-39. The aircraft was named “Sabreliner” after its wing design, which was similar to the North American F-86 Sabre. More than 800 Sabreliner where produced between 1958 and 1982, including 200 T-39. Due to its older design and noisy engines, the aircraft is now mostly phased out, with only a handful still flying.
As the Aeroplane Heaven Sabreliner is close to release, make sure to stay tuned on FSElite for further details regarding this bird.
