Over on the X-Plane.org forum, developer, Aerobask in partnership with Dassault Aviation have announced that they’re developing the Dassault Falcon 8X for X-Plane 11.
The Falcon 8X is Dassault Aviation’s flagship and top drawer, long-range tri-jet business jet. It features a maximum range of 6,450nm allowing you to go from New York to Moscow direct without a fuel stop.
The model is being developed in collaboration and under the direction of Dassault Aviation with step by step validation according to the specifications of its real-world counterpart.
Aerobask claims this will be a precise flight model complemented by custom-coded fly-by-wire and protections, all validated by certified Falcon 8X pilots. As far as systems go, it will include hi-res EASy III avionics, simulated PFDs and MFDs with reversion, custom FMS, at or close to study-level simulation of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and Synoptics. Custom failures are planned for a post-release update.
The 3D model will be modelled as close as possible being based on original blueprints and will feature hi-res PBR textures, a fully functional cockpit with smoothly animated buttons and switches and various advanced external animations including wing flex. When it comes sounds, there is said to be no compromise with sounds taken from the real aircraft courtesy of Dassault Aviation.
