Just recently Hifi Simtech relased a new version of Active Sky P3Dv4, build 6641. This update brings P3D 4.2 compatability as well as a new cloud effect offset option. Several bugs from the previous version have also been taken care of.
Build 6641 is available for download from Hifi Simtech’s website here. They hope to release the official update within a few days. But until then, you can try out this Open Beta version and report bugs to their ticket desk.
Changelog
Additional cloud motion effect offset option – this a new feature that’s been added to the UI. It allows the user to control the cloud motion, longitudinal (z) axis spawn location. This moves the effect further forward if you wish, which can be useful for improved performance depending on the aircraft size and other variables. The higher the setting you set in the UI the further the spawn point moves forward. This functionality is only available for P3D 4.2 and won’t work on older versions of the platform.
Another thing that’s been fixed is the problem related to custom renamed wx files and lower case extension (“.wx”) which prevented the loading of those files.
And last but not least, HiFi added some additional configuration info in the ‘log export’ function to make troubleshooting easier.
