A2A Simulations Says “The Comanche is Going to be Wonderful” for MSFS

A2A Simulations, known for their excellent products in Prepar3D and FSX are seemingly close to revealing a lot more about their upcoming Comanche for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Scott Gentile took to the A2A forums to speak about how “wonderful” the aircraft is going to be when it does eventually release.

Speaking on the forum, Scott knowledge that the team has been “ultra quiet” as of late, but that the team is getting close to unveiling the new Accu-Sim Comanche. Scott said, “We thought we’d have a development video out by now but decided to take another deep dive and I think everyone will be happy we did.

The downside is this last feature is adding 4-6 weeks to the development timeline, but what we are doing now is something I’ve always dreamed of doing on several levels. And it’s slowly becoming a reality on our dev machines.

What this last feature is is unknown at this time. However, Scott felt it was exciting and important enough to delay the product to implement. As with past products, A2A Simulations are focusing on making an aircraft that they are proud of.

Scott continued, “like every Accu-Sim airplane we’ve done in the past we try to stay focused on making aircraft that we want and trust that translates into what others want as well. So far, historically it seems what excites us also excites the community.”

What is interesting from Scott’s comments is how the A2A Simulations team appear to be making the plane platform-independent. He says that if the simulator changes or a new simulator wants a Comanche, the A2A team can “easily make fixes or updates happen without having to go through the long and arduous process of deep systems and physics development.”

Scott says that he misses interacting with the community and sharing what is on the way. However, he says he hopes that the wait will be worth it and as soon as they can, they will share those first juicy details.
