Courtesy of their Facebook, A2A Simulations has posted a community poll regarding the possible release of a military trainer line in the near future.
The developers have indicated that both the T-6A II and T-38A they previously announced are being considered for release. They’ve stressed how the development of aircraft like the T-6A and T-38A have a higher standard of simulation than their previous products in the flight and engine model due to the strict requirements and standards of the United States Air Force.
These two aircraft are being used as official simulator trainers for the United States Military, and A2A is debating whether to release these aircraft to the general public but with some limitations. They’ve outlined what they’ll include in what they call the “bucket” theory. In this case, the ‘bucket’ is their time and resources, so some things will fit in their bucket while others just won’t. You can find what would, and won’t, fit in the ‘bucket’ below.
“Bucket” Theory Possibilities:
- Top PBR modeling
- Highest levels of flight physics
- Accu-Sim sound
- Military manual approved for the public
What’s Not Possible:
- In-depth manuals with the history of the aircraft
- Maintenance Hangar
- Walk around
