A2A Simulations continues to improve its popular Accu-Sim Comanche. According to a forum post, version 1.6.1 of the Comanche is now available and adds several updates current owners will find useful. Of particular note is the newly added panel integration with the freeware “falcon71” KLN 90B GPS.
falcon71’s KLN 90B is a full-featured simulation of the Bendix/King KLN 90B GPS for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Available on github, the freeware add-on replicates nearly all of the original unit’s functionality. Installed into the left side of the Comanche’s instrument panel, the KLN 90B provides another GPS option for simmers who can now choose between the Bendix/King unit, MSFS default/Working Title GNS 430W and 530W, and the PMS GTN 750 and TDS GTN 750Xi GPS navigators. As part of the KLN 90B integration, A2A has also replicated the installation of an AK-950, Ameri-King GPS-NAV switching and annunciator panel.
Several other quality-of-life updates have also been incorporated into version 1.6.1. Details are provided in the changelog referenced below.
Comanche owners can update their aircraft using the “Comanche Check for Updates” shortcut in the A2A Simulations folder in the Windows start menu. If you don’t have the aircraft, you can pick it up from the A2A Simulations store for $49.99. In their forum post, A2A also mentioned “The Marketplace version we hope will be released next week now the SU15 delays are being cleared by the MS Marketplace team.”
Of course, if you’re in the market for A2A’s Comanche, be sure to check out our extensive review.
