A new freeware Bombardier Challenger 300 is in development for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The new aircraft development is being created by user WNpilot101 who shared a short video on YouTube.
The video demonstrated the aircraft flying in the simulator with a rendered exterior model and cockpit. Furthermore, there is a virtual cabin that looks somewhat detailed. When it does release, it will be the first ‘test’ before then being improved with free features and upgrades over time. This is what the developer had to say:
“This aircraft is still a work in progress. The initial release will just be a test so please expect there to be problems at first. But great efforts will be made to update the aircraft regularly with better features and upgrades!”
The aircraft is freeware so it may be worth a look when it does release. When exactly that will be is a good question. The YouTube description says May 1st 2020, but seeing as that was nearly 2 years ago, it is a fair assumption this is a typo and that the freeware Bombardier Challenger 300 will be released in just a couple of days’ time.
It’s an interesting freeware project and we’ll monitor it to see how progress goes. For now, watch the teaser trailer above.
Thanks to Michael for the tip.
