[Bel Geode] (Aerofly FS2) F-15E Strike Eagle: Mach 2 Plus

Bel Geode answers a viewer’s wish to see the F-15E Strike Eagle that comes standard with Aerofly FS2. The word on the street is that IPACS modeled this thing so well that it can actually fly over Mach 2, and has enough thrust to climb over 30,000 feet in a matter of seconds.

Naturally, all these things need validation. Enter test pilot Bel Geode. Flying within the Oculus Rift as usual, Bel will be leaving Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas (KLSV), and heading to a simulation favorite- Edwards Air Force Base in California (KEDW), one of the former landing places of the space shuttle.

[Flightsimguy]: Virtualcol CRJ. More Fun Than it Looks. (FYC)

I made this video because I couldn’t find a review on youtube that went into any detail of this aircraft. And I’m glad I did.

While not a study level, or even mid-level sim addon, this is more of a sim-lite: or complexity simplified, if you will. This plane is just fun to fly.

It comes with a bunch of liveries, a custom “lite” FMC, and HD cockpit. Flight model and spelling needs some work, but overall a worthy addon for your virtual hangar.

Last, but not least, don’t forget to check out for the latest news in flight simulation. Enjoy.

AviationLads: Visual Mod – Cold Season | PTA and ReShade Preset [FYC]

Suitable for the cold season we just released our AviationLads “VisualMod – Cold Season” to give your sim a nice cold and wintry look and feel.
Our “VisualMod” includes a PTA and ReShade preset as well as recommended sky textures.

Besides the freezing look we further improved the visual appearance of P3Dv4 with a very dark virtual cockpit and terrain lighting at night.
Another highlight of our “VisualMod” is the appearance of the clouds – thanks to the custom “bidirectional cloud lighting” code provided by “TOGA Projects” (ENVTEX/ENVSHADE).

Together with REX4 Enhanced Edition and our recommended settings, available on our website (, you`ll get the best result.

Download “VisualMod – Cold Season”:

Below we show you some screenshots and we also provide a short and on-the-point tutorial how to install everything and get ready in minutes:

[Bel Geode] (Aerofly FS2) F/A-18C: Grand Canyon Run (FYC)

Bel Geode is back with the F/A-18C to push it to the limits in Aerofly FS2. From an idea generated by a loyal viewer, this trip will take the audience from KGCN (Grand Canyon National Airport), to sunny Las Vegas… KLSV (Nellis Air Force Base) to be specific.

Along the way, one can expect the usual shenanigans for which Bel is known. This includes the Hoover Dam visit, the homage to Maverick, and of course the ever popular cruising the Vegas strip at near supersonic speeds. Ally would not approve of this episode… But Ally does not have to know about it, does she?

FSElite First Look on TFDi Design’s True Glass

Aus Flight Simmer took some time to have a look at the recently released TFDi Design True Glass feature. If you don’t know, True Glass is a modular add-on which will enable aircraft to have a fully immersive windshield effect. This means that weather will impact your ability to look outside.

Currently the technology is available for the TFDi Design 717 in Prepar3D V4 only, with other developers able to add it to their aircraft in the future.

You can watch our first impressions video above.

Let us know what you think below.

[Bel Geode] (Aerofly FS2) Dash-8 Q400: Second Look

Bel Geode is back with a follow on to the original “First Look” at relative newcomers AeroFly FS2, by IPACS. This time around he is hopping into the Dash-8 Q400, a favorite of his, to clarify some items that he recently discovered in the few days he has been flying in this virtual reality simulator.

The flight plan will take Bel from KSFO (San Francisco International Airport) to KTVL (South Lake Tahoe Airport), with enough time to do as cold and dark a start up as is currently allowed within the simulator’s free add-on module. It’s not quite study level… Yet.

[Bel Geode] (Aerofly FS2) F/A-18C Hornet: First Look KSFO (FYC)

Bel Geode takes his first look at newcomer to the simulation block- AeroFly FS2. With the buzz this created through Orbx back in June, the time has come to see what all the hoopla is about.

Since the F/A-18C is a part of the standard lineup of aircraft that come with this simulator, the first task is to hop into the Hornet at KSFO (San Francisco International Airport) to see just how well the developers at IPACS were able to pull off both the area, and the aircraft.

[Flightsimguy] Flying in the Pattern 101 (FYC)

Back to basics. Flying in the pattern.  In this video we go through all the items you need to know enter and fly in the pattern and do touch and goes.  This includes runways, their orientation, and most importantly, runway numbers.   We also talk about using the heading bug and course needle to help you maintain alignment while you fly in the pattern.  Suggest you do this with new addons to help get a feel for how the plane handles.
