Sierrasim Simulation Releases New York Stewart International for Prepar3D V4

Sierrasim Simulation has released New York Stewart International Airport for both Prepar3D V4 and FSX. New York Stewart International Airport is a public/military airport in Orange County, New York. The airport was originally built in the 1930s for cadets attending West Point to learn aviation. In the recent years, Stewart International Airport has into a significant passenger airport for the mid-Hudson region. In 2016 Norwegian Air Shuttle announced their intention to use Stewart Airport as a base for their Irish subsidiary. On June 15, 2017 the first Boeing 737 MAX flight for Norwegian Air Shuttle departed for Edinburgh. Norwegian Air Shuttle no longer serves Stewart International Airport, however, Allegiant, American, Delta, and jetBlue still serve the airport with destinations in the United States.

Photoreal-realistic ground textures cover the airport and surrounding area that will change based on the season in the sim. All buildings on the airport have been recreated using photo-realistic textures, SODE objects including the windsocks and located around the airport. 3D grass covers the airport and is optimized for the best performance. On the military ramps various military cargo objects and buildings can be seen, an airport configuration is included and allows the user to select between static or GSX Level 2 jetways. The airport is compatible with various mesh addons like Orbx Vector and Freemesh. SODE version 1.6.6 is required, it can be downloaded from the link provided here. Sierrasim Simulation’s New York Stewart International Airport for Prepar3D or FSX can be purchased from Simmarket for €20. Be sure to purchase the correct version, as there are two versions of the airport, one for FSX and another for Prepar3D V4.
